Does the world seriously consist of nothing but SaaS products? Think outside the box for a second. There are physical products, machinery, there are so many non-tech industries where you can apply AI to build and scale something. Sometimes I wonder if 90% of the people on Substack have spent their entire lives working exclusively in SaaS, tech, or non-physical product industries. It really narrows your perspective.

Thank you. I think it's going to take a bit for people to shake off the 2010's webdev stupor.

The line that does the most work here is 'so long as the agent had access to the right things.' That access is the part that doesn't come in a box. Models and harnesses generalize, but proprietary data, permission to act inside a regulated workflow, and a name to hold accountable when the agent is wrong all stay scarce. My read is the 2030 startups compete on those, not on the build.
