Tnx. Alas it is still early days for us so we have only lightly bumped into this. One of the things that I think exacerbates this is when customers don’t know or don’t ask the right questions (eg it took us an hour last week to start bringing a customer around to ask questions instead of rationalizing the data). The more noise we induce into our dashboards the more we miss, so in that light a 40 year oil leak would be welcome ;).

Yeah, dashboard noise can definitely make this worse. The more I think about all of this, the more that feels like one of the few ways out: Have fewer dashboards and metrics.
